As part of the cultural exchange program at the College, all year 10 students studying Japanese prepared presentations and videos for our new Sister School, Sakuragaoka High School, located in the city of Yokohama, approximately one hour from Tokyo.

Our students put their Japanese speaking skills to practice by introducing themselves in the language and carefully preparing presentations on nature conservation in Australia, where they discussed the ways in which endangered species and the natural environment, such as beaches, were being protected.

The videos our students prepared were shown to year 10 students in Japan as well as year 10 students from Germany currently participating in an exchange program at Sakuragaoka High School.

Our classes enjoyed this cultural exchange and we look forward to more opportunities to foster the bonds between our schools in the future!
