The Musical Appreciation Club, commonly known as MAC, has been around for 50 years. MAC is a highlight in the school calendar and many past students have fond memories of their involvement in the school production, which is generally an annual event.

Students from years 7-12 participate in acting, singing, dancing, lighting, stage construction, backstage, and performing in the band. The school has a tradition of performing new and original material, although in some years more familiar titles have also been used.

The school has a long history of performing both original and Broadway productions. Some of the more recent shows include Seussical, The Wizard of Oz, Mulan and Alice.

MAC50

In 2020, MAC is celebrating 50 years of productions. St Albans Secondary College is looking to celebrate this milestone with a showcase, both archival and live of past performances. The afternoon would include, past and present students coming together to celebrate the community of MAC; festive food, music, highlights of shows, and lots of memorabilia.

We are looking for expressions of interest from past students who could perform a musical number from a show, compere a section of the afternoon or possibly revive a character.
