Term 3 has seen many exciting things happen in the Italian department.

Year 7 students have completed a unit on School in Italy and Schooling around the world as part of their Intercultural Capability unit. They produced some amazing posters on education systems around the world.

Year 8 students completed a unit on Italian Food and all students participated in the annual pasta competition. This year it was impossible to pick a winner, so first prize went to Amy Shi of 8M and Sally Wang of 8I. Both winners receive a hamper of delicious Italian products. Also coming up for year 7 and 8 students is the annual Centre of Italian Studies (CIS) poetry competition on Monday 11 September. We wish our students all the very best and look forward to hearing their recitals and results.

Year 9 students also are completing a unit on traditional Italian Food. So far, they have had a masterclass in Italian coffee making, enjoyed traditional Italian biscuits, and sampled Italian risotto expertly made by Signora Honeycombe. During the remainder of the term, along with studying recipes and making their own food Vlogs, students will be making and enjoying Tiramisu`, cannoli and other desserts and drinks

We wish them all the very best in their learning and events.
