Positive Relationships

Our Junior School students are currently focussing on Positive Relationships and they have created a display wall. Students wrote messages about their positive interactions and experiences and displayed it near the sub School to reinforce this very important message.

Athletics

The Athletics Carnival was held recently, and the participation was excellent. Students attempted many events and supported each other, encouraging them to do their best. The weather was lovely and students had an enjoyable day connecting to their peers. Representation for each House was excellent. Well done to those students who will be going to the Keilor Division.

Badminton

We have had a number of students who represented the school in Sport over the last few weeks.  We had a great representation in Junior Badminton. Year 7 & 8 teams went out on 25 May and both Year 8 Boys and Girls teams won the tournament and will progress to the next round.  The Year 7 Boys made it to the final and lost by 1 game. Fantastic efforts by everyone !

Thank you to Mr Lac for all the training and supporting these students to get into the regional tournament in Term 3.  It is wonderful to see so many students willing to participate in representative sports.

Pro Active Police Program Visit

We recently had a visit to the school by the Pro Active Policing Unit. The Officers spoke to the students in Year 7 and 8 about general safety and also Cyber-Bullying and the consequences. Students were very interested in the information that they were given and it gave them a lot of awareness.

Year 7 and 8 Camps

Home group camps will continue in Term 3 for Junior classes.  Please ensure you return your permission notes and payment to securer your place on the camp. It will be a great experience.

Be Prepared

A reminder that students will need to be warm for winter with full school uniform.  Please see your coordinators if you need assistance with uniform. Please ensure you have all your equipment ready for Term 3 and that you are on time to school and to your classes. We value punctuality at St Albans secondary College. Learning time is valuable and avoiding disruptions is important.

Enjoy the Holidays

We hope all students and families enjoy the Term 2 holidays.   Have a restful break and we look forward to seeing you all back next term.
