It is with great pleasure that we announce that St Albans students have once again participated and been place winners in the CIS (Centre of Italian Studies) Poetry Competition.

On the 13 September, and after weeks of practice, 30 Year 7 and 8 Italian students competed in the CIS (Centre of Italian Studies) Italian Poetry competition. Students were judged in the following categories:

  • Knowledge of Poem
  • Appropriate Expression
  • Pronunciation
  • Intonation
  • Gesture and Eye Contact

Prizes were awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place at Year 7 and 8 for the state of Victoria. Congratulations to Delphi-Zeng Lagas of 7F and Grace Cowling of 8A who both finished second in the state!
