These initiatives encompass targeted programs including the Year 12 study camp, parent information evenings, study skills workshops, practice exams, student leadership meetings, forums, Year 11 team building day, General Achievement Test (GAT) preparation session and tertiary information sessions.

The initiatives are guided by the needs of the cohort and are designed to support their academic, wellbeing, social and personal development.

Year 12 students have access to a dedicated study centre, where they can complete work and prepare for assessments during their study periods. Additionally, study rooms on the B-floor are also open before school, at recess, lunchtime and after school to provide an exclusive environment for focused study.

Our dedicated Wellbeing team run programs aimed at supporting senior students, particularly around stress and anxiety. In addition to whole year level programs, the Wellbeing team are available for individual sessions tailored to each students’ specific needs, as well as consults for specialist external services.

If parents are concerned about their child’s wellbeing, they are encouraged to contact the Year Level Coordinator or Wellbeing team to make an appointment.

We prioritise equipping our students with the necessary knowledge and skills to become active and responsible citizens in our community.

Our Careers Team work closely with our senior students and their families to empower them to navigate their post-Year 12 pathway. Personalised course counselling, scholarship and tertiary application support and comprehensive planning advice equip students with the clarity and confidence necessary for their future endeavours, whether it be tertiary education at a university or TAFE, an apprenticeship, traineeship or entry into the workforce.

Our Senior School students benefit from the College’s extensive network of community and university-based partnerships.

These partnerships afford invaluable opportunities. Some of these include the Strengthening Engagement and Achievement in Mathematics and Science (SEAMS) camp at Monash University, ABCN Leadership program, the Smith Family’s ‘Real Talk’ event and Western Health community projects. These opportunities enrich students’ educational experiences and broaden their horizons, preparing them for their future endeavours.
