St Albans Secondary College offers a varied and challenging curriculum designed to cater for different student’s needs.
In Year 7, students study a common core curriculum of 27 out of the 30 periods in a week. For the remaining 3 periods they experience the Arts and Technology elective program, rotating through a range of electives throughout the year.

SEAL (Select Entry Accelerated Learning) Program
The SEAL Program is available to Year 6 students that have successfully gained a placement at our college for the coming school year.
Applicants will be required to attain high level test score from the Edutest to gain entry into this program.
Scholarship Program
Our College offers scholarships at Year 7 in several fields of interest. Students will go through an interview process and, depending on the type of Scholarship applied for, they may need to also sit for the Edutest.
EAL (English as an Additional Language) Program
The College offers EAL classes to students who speak a language other than English at home, and who have been enrolled in an Australian school for less than five years.
Accelerated Learning Program
St Albans Secondary College’s Accelerated Learning Program caters for the special educational needs of high ability students. It operates on the principles of Curriculum Acceleration and Enrichment. It offers high achieving students the opportunity to extend and enrich their learning and provides participants with challenging and engaging course material in all core subjects.
Language Enhancement Program (LEP)
The Language Enhancement Program (LEP) provides literacy support for students who need extra assistance. Those students identified as needing this support will participate in LEP instead of studying a LOTE.
