Wellbeing – Connect Protect Respect (CPR)

We are thrilled to shine a spotlight on our dedicated CPR (Connect, Protect, Respect) Ambassadors who made a remarkable impact this year in our school. These inspiring students have been actively promoting the core values of our wellbeing initiative, embodying the spirit of connection, protection, and respect in their roles. They have highlighted the importance of fostering a supportive school environment, and the enthusiasm they bring to their roles is truly admirable. Their work during the mental health week lunchtime activities was incredible and helped to encourage more connection and engagement with the celebrations.

Our CPR Ambassadors have supported the big day in event for Grade 6 students that are attending SASC next year, they have presented at the Brimbank youth symposium day and to our principal team and helped with wellbeing initiatives for parents at the Term 3 parent teacher meetings. Our senior CPR ambassadors have spoken at assemblies about coping skills; some have provided mentoring to our junior CPR ambassadors and others have created translated mental health resources for our parent and student community.

We are also delighted to announce that our ambassadors have officially completed their training and certification process in teen mental health first aid which supports them to deliver continuous wellbeing support to their fellow students. Our ambassadors are looking forward to an end of year celebration and reflecting on how we can improve the CPR program for our school community next year.

A heartfelt thank you to all our CPR Ambassadors for your outstanding leadership and dedication. Your efforts are a powerful testament to the impact of leading with empathy, connection and respect. Keep up the fantastic work and we hope to see you joining in 2027!

Next year we will be continuing the CPR program and hope to include more student lead mental health initiatives within our school community. If you think you have the leadership qualities and passion to be a good CPR ambassador, please nominate yourself. Senior students currently in Years 9-11 need to hand in a nomination form by the end of this term and year 7-9 will be selected through their learning manager class elections in Term 1 2027.

For any students that think they may need wellbeing support, don’t hesitate to connect with these knowledgeable and inspiring Ambassadors. It is wonderful to report that the CPR Ambassador Leadership program has been even more successful this year and we look forward to making it even better and with more student voice in 2027.
