Meet our new MAC Director – Ms Lela Seely
We are thrilled to welcome Ms Lela Seely into the role of MAC Director at St Albans Secondary College.
Ms Seely joined SASC in 2024 as an English and VCE VM Literacy teacher, bringing a unique combination of educational experience, cultural knowledge and professional performance experience to our College.
Originally from a Canadian and Aotearoa New Zealand background, Ms Seely spent 3.5 years teaching in Ōtara, Auckland, before moving to Melbourne. She is also a professional dancer specialising in hip hop, heels and commercial dance, bringing a wealth of performance experience and a genuine understanding of the discipline, creativity and collaboration that sit behind great performing arts.
Since joining SASC, Ms Seely has already brought this passion for dance into the College, working with our Dance students and supporting our students involved in the Victorian State School Spectacular.
As MAC Director, Ms Seely is excited to bring her experience as an educator and professional dancer together, creating opportunities for our students to perform, create, collaborate and develop confidence through the performing arts.
We can’t wait to see the energy, creativity and new possibilities Ms Seely brings to MAC in 2027!
