Junior School Report

The Junior School students finished the term with a flourish.  Most notably the Junior School students participated in the Swimming Carnival on 6 March at Oak Park Swimming Pool.  Students competed in a range of events throughout the day, with the stronger swimmers progressing through to a higher level of competition.  Throughout the day a range of other non-competitive activities were also available.  This included volleyball, pool volleyball and of course some time on the ever popular waterslides.  Luckily we had perfect weather for the whole day.  It was fantastic to see so many students engaged in competitive and non-competitive activities throughout the day.  The behaviour was impeccable, both at the pool and on the buses to and from the venue. It was a very successful day.

Our Year 7 students have been completing the NAPLAN tests during weeks 7 and 8.  These tests form a crucial benchmark for the assessment of our students and informs the strategies that are put in place to support them.

Term 1 Progress Reports will be released on Compass soon.  Please take the time to review the reports, together with your students.

We are looking forward to meeting parents at the Parent, Teacher, Student Conferences on 2 April.  This is a vital opportunity to receive direct feedback on the progress of your students from their teachers.  It is also nice to be able to put faces to the names that you have been hearing all year.  Please look out for details of the Term 1 conferences.
