Parent Information Night was an exciting opportunity to bring families together and showcase the vibrant school community. A key highlight of the evening was the House System, which plays a vital role in fostering teamwork, leadership, and school spirit, which I contributed to with my peers and Mr Dang. This event allowed parents to gain a deeper understanding of how the House System shapes student experiences.
The night was filled with energy as parents, students, and teachers gathered to celebrate school life. Various activities took place, including an in-depth discussion about the House System, the VHAP program, the SEAL program, Wellbeing and much more. While presenting the House System program parents learned about the values each House represents, how students earn points, and the friendly competitions that bring excitement throughout the year. The atmosphere was lively, with engaging conversations and an overall sense of pride in our school community.
Being part of the event as a House representative at the Parent Information Night was both an honor and a learning experience. Speaking to parents about the House System gave me the chance to develop my public speaking skills and take on a leadership role. Engaging with families, answering their questions, and sharing personal experiences about my House strengthened my appreciation for the System.
The House System is more than just a structure, it builds connections, encourages leadership, creates teamwork skills and creates a sense of belonging among students. Parent Information Night reinforced the importance of this system by helping families see its positive impact. Many parents left with a greater understanding of how the House System motivates students to engage in school activities and develop important life skills.
Parent Information Night was a successful and meaningful event. It strengthened the bond between students, parents, and teachers while reinforcing the values of the House System. Moving forward, we hope to continue building a strong, supportive community where every student feels encouraged to grow. A heartfelt thank you to all the parents for their support.
