On 10 September, the House Captain Team ran yet another sporty event, where students could compete with each other in intense games of Table Tennis.
One table, one net, two players – only one winner. Who would be the glorious champions of this year’s tournament?
Players were divided by year levels; Juniors (7/8), Intermediate (9/10) and Seniors (11/12).
We started it off with a standard Round-Robin competition, where contestants took turns against each other, narrowing it down to only the cream of the crop.
The ping and pang of table tennis balls filled the arena and the cheers of competitors as each point was scored, resounded throughout the gym.
Tension rose as we made our way to the Knockouts, only a select few names were able to squeeze through into the Final Rounds. Points quickly accumulated, causing speculations of who would take home the title of the ultimate winners to follow.
Brackets ranged from 4 matches all the way to 12 and after fierce competition, the following players emerged victorious:
- Year 7 – Dan Le – 7C
- Year 8 – Manaal Waqar – 8D
- Year 9 – Dat Ma – 9A
- Year 10 – Peter Tomal – 10B
Thank you to everyone who signed and showed up to this event! Not only was enthusiasm through the roof, but students demonstrated immense sportsmanship. The House Captain team commends all the collaboration exhibited throughout this tournament. <3
We look forward to organising more games like this in the remaining months we have left of this year. c:
