Great Minds Student Action Team (GMSAT)

The Great Minds Student Action Team (GMSAT) empowers students to lead positive change across our College, by strengthening student voice, developing leadership skills and fostering a greater sense of belonging.

This year, students have launched a range of student-led lunchtime clubs-including Anime Club and Art Club-with plans to introduce many more. These clubs provide opportunities for students to connect through shared interests, build friendships and contribute to a more inclusive school community.

Anime Club

Anime Club had officially held its first meeting on the 29th of July, and the Great Minds Student Action Team is so excited to say that it was a great success! The atmosphere in the classroom was bright, energetic and full of enthusiasm as students came together.

During the meeting we got to play a fun icebreaker of Guess the Character, with snacks and candy provided! It was an awesome way to start the club and created a welcoming environment for everyone who attended.

The Anime Club team is incredibly grateful to everyone who came along and made this such a fun experience! We are looking forward to spending time with more students, as we share and enjoy the anime we cherish and create more fun memories together in the meetings to come!

Art Club

August 3 marks the official opening of the Art Club! The Great Minds Student Action Team thanks everyone for attending the first meeting as it was a very enjoyable and exciting experience. Everyone was extremely lively and full of enthusiasm upon meeting new people over a drawing activity where we swapped papers and continued each other’s drawings. Through this, people were able to create new, unique characters that incorporated a wide range of different art styles from other people. In the end, the Art Club hopes everyone had a great time participating as much as we enjoyed leading the meeting!

Our next meeting will be held next week on August 10 during lunchtime on Monday and we have prepared more activities for everyone to join in on.

We hope to see more students and new faces next time!
