Debating Club Opens the 2026 Season with Great Momentum
The first debating meeting was held on Tuesday 10 February and was met with a great turnout and even better vibes. There was strong interest in interschool debating, with thoughtful questions raised and key information covered.
The session concluded with a fun exhibition debate, where—somehow—dogs were ultimately proven to be better pets than cats. Allen Cheung adjudicated the debate, offering insightful observations and constructive feedback throughout. Kevin Lam opened strongly for the affirmative team, while Dennis Ha presented clear and well-structured arguments for the cats. However, Allen ultimately awarded the win to the dogs.
Overall, it was a highly engaging start and it’s shaping up to be a very promising year for the debating program.
