Although the teachers claimed victory this time, who knows what the outcome will be next round?
It was a lively and popular event, however, for future reference it is important to not run on the field without signing up as this disrupts the competition. Nonetheless, the participation and enthusiasm this time around was extremely pleasing to see.
Keep an eye out for any updates for any future events like this, and don’t be afraid to join in on some fun! – Written by Amelia, Cynthia, Ezekiel and Jessica

Behind the Scenes
“In my opinion, the Student vs Teacher Dodgeball competition was the most interesting event that I have hosted and under the direction of Mr Dang and the House Team.
Coming from my perspective of administration, I was operating, collaborating and allocating some of the most interesting team names I’ve witnessed. For instance, ‘Nhan Nguyen 1000’, ‘Lil’Boys’, ‘The Power Rangers’, ‘Star fi shes’ and ‘sigma alpha pack 3000’ just to name a few. The planning for the student dodgeball was quite good but the execution was not what me and Mr Dang intended the activity to be.
It is a great activity for all students to participate in, more importantly it creates a headstart for potential future games that can be beneficial for ALL students to participate in”. – Richie Nguyen 12E, Admin Officer and Buttrose House Captain
“As Year 12s, being able to join these major school activities, such as this dodgeball match, was an excellent way of creating precious memories that last a lifetime. Watching the students get decimated by teachers and the whole atmosphere was absolutely hilarious which made it very memorable. Everyone was cheering on other students and being cheered for each other which was a great time. We all came together as a school.
The atmosphere was lively and exciting and so was the spirit, but it was more of a collective student spirit than a house spirit. One of the most standout performances was during the last match, where it was a free-for-all, so you can see everyone trying their hardest to get the staff out.
I feel like that day was where I felt most connected to my friends, schoolmates and teachers (though it was also a great opportunity to get back at that one teacher for a bad SAC score …… I am just kidding).
One of my favourite memories was watching teachers wipe out student teams. Overall, it was a great experience, and I hope the school continues hosting these sorts of events”. – Rahima Muradi 12D – Rosewall House Captain
