Middle School Report

Term 2 has been a fantastic period of exploration, learning, and leadership for our Year 9 and 10 students, with several enriching excursions and events taking place across a variety of subjects and interests.

Our Year 9 and 10 students recently showcased their sporting spirit at the Rugby Gala Day. The competition was fierce, and our students demonstrated great teamwork, resilience, and sportsmanship on the field. It was a wonderful day of high energy and healthy competition, with all teams representing the school with pride.

In the realm of civic education, selected students from both Year 9 and 10 took part in the VSPP Secondary Schools Parliamentary Convention. This was an outstanding opportunity for students to engage in democratic processes, debate real-world issues, and collaborate with students from other schools. Their participation and maturity in discussing complex topics were commendable.

Meanwhile, our Year 9 Advance students visited the Melbourne Aquarium, where they deepened their understanding of marine ecosystems and the importance of environmental conservation. The hands-on learning experience was both informative and inspiring, helping students connect classroom knowledge with real-world marine biology.

Year 10 History students embarked on a meaningful visit to the Holocaust Museum, gaining powerful insights into this significant chapter of world history. Their respectful behaviour and thoughtful reflections made the day especially impactful. Staff at the museum praised our students for their maturity and attentiveness, and we are incredibly proud of the way they represented our school.

We are also thrilled to extend a heartfelt congratulations to Adam Downing, who was selected to participate in the Zoo Conservation Leadership Course. This is a prestigious opportunity that reflects Adam’s passion for wildlife and conservation.

Well done to all our students who participated in these events. Your enthusiasm, curiosity, and exemplary behaviour continue to make our school community proud!
