Alumnus – Guest Speaker
Eangano Singehebhuye ‘15, an alumnus and steadfast supporter of SASC, was a natural choice to address our school leaders at their March 7th conference. He captivated the audience with his personal story, tracing his path from a young soccer player who saw a community in need to the helm of a thriving charity. He revealed the secrets to his success: a strong network, a belief in the potential of others, and decisive action. ‘Don’t wait,’ he advised, ‘just start.’ Students eagerly sought his insights on finance, entrepreneurship, and, of course, his favourite football team (Chelsea). His words left a lasting impression.
International Women’s Day
The celebration of International Women’s Day brought another inspiring speaker: Hao Lu ’17. Hao, a Biomedical Scientist and accomplished pianist, shared her remarkable journey of overcoming challenges. She empowered the audience with advice on self-compassion, self-belief, and the power of communication. Hao urged the next generation of female leaders to challenge stereotypes and build a world where they can achieve their dreams. Her message was clear: ‘Take it steady and believe in yourself’.
