Enrolment

Enrolment Procedure

St Albans Secondary College has various enrolment procedures in place to accommodate entry at different year levels, and at different times of the school year.

There are different procedures for:

  • Year 6 to Year 7 enrolments (Transition)
  • Years 8 – 12 enrolments

Applications for enrolments in Years 7 – 12 can be submitted directly to the College, while enrolments from Grade 6 to Year 7 are processed through the primary school.

Our college prioritises enrolments for students within our Designated Zone.  Your child’s enrolment application will be accepted if:

  • your permanent address is within the school zone
  • your permanent address is outside of the school zone, but your child has a sibling already enrolled at our college

Education and Training Reform Act

St Albans Secondary College has an enrolment restriction under section 2.2.16 of the
Education and Training Reform Act 2006 (Vic). Approved entry criteria for our
school are:

  • students who live within the school zone
  • students with a sibling attending the school at the same time
  • students seeking enrolment on compassionate grounds, in exceptional circumstances.

All students seeking enrolment at our school must meet one of the above criteria to be eligible for enrolment.

The department will review this enrolment restriction yearly and provide updated advice as necessary.

Please contact the General Office if you have any questions.
