On Tuesday, 18 August, the school community gathered for a fantastic display of linguistic talent and House spirit during the annual House Spelling Bee. Students stepped up to the microphone under pressure, navigating complex vocabulary and tricky phonetics to secure valuable points for Buttrose, Freeman, Irwin, and Rosewall.
A massive congratulations is in order for all our participants who dedicated their time and courage to represent their Houses. Standing on stage and spelling under a time limit is no small feat, and every student demonstrated outstanding resilience and academic excellence.
2026 Spelling Bee Champions
The competition was fierce across all age groups, but three students truly distinguished themselves with their flawless spelling under pressure. We are thrilled to announce this year’s equal overall winners:
- Hao Ngo (12E) – Rosewall
- Yenthy Le (12D) – Irwin
- Kevin Lam (10C) – Buttrose
