Design Technology
In Woodwork students work on being both designers and makers/manufacturers of products – designed solutions. They follow the Double Diamond Design Process. An easy way for students to grasp Technical Drawing is to do aspects of a final orthographic drawing using whiteboards. The emphasis is on getting a quick response that is broadly right rather than labouring over every point in a single image. By doing a number of these short-drawn responses students get the hang of the requirements when they will do a longer considered drawn work and then later a digital work.
