It’s been an exciting month to start the school year for Student Leadership. Year 7 – 11 students have been preparing and/or seeking endorsement for their SRC, Class Captain and CPR Ambassador applications. Thank you to all students who expressed interest in taking on these important leadership roles.
I would also like to acknowledge the teachers, the Year Level Coordinators (YLCs) and parents who play an integral role in supporting and endorsing our student leader candidates.
Elections for Year 8 – 9 Class Captains & CPR Ambassadors elections are currently underway, with the Year 7 elections scheduled for later this month. A special thank you to the Learning Managers for facilitating this process.
Meanwhile, the Year 12 College Leadership Team (CLT) have been working diligently behind the scenes as they prepare for the year ahead. The team, elected by the College community late last year, comprises:
- College Captains:
Stephanie Truong & Josephine Mai;
- College Leaders:
Mitchell Cauchi, Angelina Huynh, Tina Le, Tamara Penaia Te’o, Richard To and Lachlan Tran.
The Year 12 CLT is currently shortlisting the Year 7 – 11 candidates for the Student Representative Council (SRC). Successful applicants will be announced following the voting process.
At our recent whole-school assembly, the College Captains welcomed our year 7 students, encouraging them to embrace the unfamiliar by building positive connections with their new peers & teachers and getting involved in the many extracurricular activities the College has to offer. They also shared an uplifting message to the year 12 cohort to cherish the moments of their final year and strive to pursue and achieve their ambitions.
