Celebrating Excellence: Sylvia Ho Awarded AMSI Female Specialist Maths Scholarship (2026–27)
St Albans Secondary College is proud to announce that Sylvia Ho has been awarded a 2026–27 AMSI Female Specialist Mathematics High School Scholarship, a prestigious national award recognising outstanding female students undertaking Specialist Mathematics.
This year, recipients were selected from across Australia, making Sylvia’s achievement particularly noteworthy. The scholarship, administered by the AMSI Foundation, supports and encourages talented young women with a strong passion for mathematics as they progress through Years 11 and 12 Specialist Mathematics.
Awarded in the name of Jane Street, the scholarship provides students with financial support, enrichment opportunities, and access to mentoring and mathematical programs designed to extend and inspire high‑achieving students.
Sylvia’s selection reflects her commitment, perseverance, and genuine enthusiasm for mathematics. We congratulate Sylvia on this outstanding accomplishment and look forward to supporting her continued growth and success in Mathematics.
