The ‘Aussie Backyard Birdcount’ is on again, from 18-24 October.

There are 122 species identified by Birdlife Australia as inhabiting the Brimbank area. Whilst many are common and you will recognise quite readily, there are also some less common species, such as the Striated Pardalote and the near threatened Flame Robin. Participating in this citizen science activity improves your understanding of the environment in which we all live as well as contributing to the management and preservation of our feathered friends.

Simply visit www.aussiebirdcount.org to get started.

Good luck.
