Modern Facilities

At St Albans Secondary College we believe that high level student learning outcomes are better supported when an excellent physical environment and quality facilities are provided. The College offers outstanding facilities, surrounded by landscaped grounds, to enhance student learning, recreation and sporting experiences.

A well-resourced library, performing arts centre, and purpose built open learning centre support our VCAL student’s learning experiences.  Our science laboratories have all been renovated, and together with our new Science Centre, offer excellent facilities for students from year 7 to 12.  We have excellent sporting facilities, including a full sized gymnasium, weights room, multipurpose courts, and an artificial turf soccer pitch.

Computers and technology are an everyday part of our college life, and staff and students routinely use information technology in classrooms.  All classrooms are equipped with either an interactive whiteboard or data projector, and there are a number of dedicated computer laboratories for student use.

Our technology program is supported by wood, textiles and food classrooms.  We are currently in the process of building a Hospitality Trade Training Centre that will greatly add to this part of the college curriculum.

We are constantly upgrading our grounds, garden bed seating, and artificial turf areas, to create passive areas for students.

The College, located a short walk from the railway station, is also well serviced by buses and designated bike and walking paths.
